Kerie Johannes knows how to make us smile. Her splashy, neon ceramics play off of our love for artists who combine art and play. While your grandma might be the last person you knew to hang plates on her wall, Kerie’s emoji plates might change your mind about hanging some in your own home! Come on, who can say no to that face?

New Makers This September

Folks, we’ve officially crossed the sixty maker mark… that’s right: Threefold Gifts now carries handmade goods from over sixty American makers. We’re wildly excited to share news that we’re always growing the Threefold Gifts family of makers, and this month is no different. We’ve had three new makers join the shop recently, and we can't wait for you to meet them. Before you shop their wares, learn a bit about the people behind the goods.

These Things

Houston, Texas

These Things aims to bring cute, humorous, and kitschy items into your life. It's run by Amy K Nalley out of her home studio in Houston, TX. Started in Denton, TX in 2010, it didn’t really get going until 2014 when Amy was laid off from her part-time office job. With encouragement and support from her partner she threw everything she had into These Things and has been creating full-time ever since. These Things is now in brick & mortar shops around the US and can be found popping up at various markets and conventions around Texas.

Kerie Johannes

Cleveland, Ohio

Kerie was an artistically driven kid growing up in a suburb of Cleveland. The moment she took her first ceramic class she was in love and couldn't put down the stuff. After receiving a BFA in ceramics and a minor in textiles from Kent State University in 2015, Kerie participated in a year long residency in Cincinnati, Ohio where she explored why she makes pottery and who she makes it for. After moving back to Cleveland she jumped right back into a studio practice by doing a work trade with a local potter, where she still works today.

Unibrow Society

Cleveland, Ohio

Unibrow Society is a collaboration between Sara Bicknell and Kathleen Marcotte. They’ve united under one brow to create thoughtful, empowering, cute, fun, illustrated goods to brighten your day. They believe in laughter, in play, and embracing all the awkward, weird parts of ourselves that make us human. Unibrow Society follows one code: be kind, be cool, embrace imperfection, and support one another. We’re all on this spinning rock flying through space together!

“Hey, I make stuff!”
Cool! If you think your goods would sell well at Threefold, apply to be a maker!
