Shell Pearls
Seashell pearls are the only kind of imitation pearls that we carry.  They have the closest resemblance to genuine pearls.  Our shell pearls are created out of huge shells (hundreds of kgs weight), cut into small pieces and ground up, the ground up particles are then made into a shell bead and coated to create  perfectly round shell beads with a pearl like luster.

More info. on shell pearls:

Seashell pearls are man-made pearls and are not made from oyster, which is how natural pearls are made. There are a number of controlled process and substances that are used to make seashell pearls. Manufacturers can create them with various materials that include shells, plastic or glass beads. The best types of seashell pearls are made from shells. These pearls can have pretty much have the same natural process as natural oysters but the only difference is that they are basically shell-based.
When seashell pearls are made in the same process as cultured pearls the basic material includes a mother of pearl bead and the other materials use for creating cultured pearls. The mother of pearl bead is an important factor in the process because they add weight and durability to the seashell pearls, thus, increasing their value.

Pearls from oysters and seashell pearls do have an exceptional resemblance, this is the reason why seashell pearls has created a following.  Seashell pearls are really nice looking pieces without being expensive. These are really not your typical low-cost, low-quality finds since they've really undergone a process that is largely similarly to how you would culture oyster pearls. As a result, seashell pearls can be as good to the eyes as your usual south sea pearls.
